COVID-19 Vaccinated Will Receive Prizes from Kentucky Lottery
A $225,000 prize pool is granted by Kentucky Lottery to residents who have received the COVID-19 vaccine.
People who obtain the first or the second dose of the vaccine also receive a $1 lottery ticket to participate in the upcoming Cash Ball 225 drawing. This lottery is similar to Powerball lottery running in Kentucky state.
This promotion will encourage residents of Kentucky state to get vaccinated and win a $225,000 prize pool. The winning numbers will be selected by RNG technology.
The lottery is set to help the state to meet the vaccination goal and lead to the elimination of most COVID-19 restrictions. For example, this will help to annul social distancing restrictions for indoor events. To scale the anti-COVID measures, there should be at least 2.5 million residents vaccinated. For now, 1.9 million people have already gotten their first shot.
Gaming and Vaccination Locations
Kentucky Lottery is the first one to connect gaming and vaccinations. In other states, casinos are also involved in vaccination promotions. The pop-up clinics are hosted within gambling spots.
In the meantime, digital lotteries are becoming more popular in the US, in central Europe, and in Australia. Land-based casinos and lotteries can hardly compete with online gambling activities.
